Many people have been looking for answers to the most important questions, such as what is the purpose of life, and does God exist. We wish to share with you how God has and will continue to provide all things for life and godliness according to His Word, the Bible.

  • Why do I exist? +

The Bible says that God created you for a purpose. That purpose is to show how great and wonderful He is—to glorify, worship, and please Him. Look at what the BIble says:

All things were created by Him, and for Him. Colossians 1:16

God made the entire earth and everything in it so He could enjoy it. He even made humans to be like Him so they could show off how wonderful He is.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them. Genesis 1:7

Since God made humans to reflect what He is like, we should be like billboards to advertise to everyone God’s personality and character.

  • What is God Like? +

Since every human being must reflect what God is like, every person needs to know what God is like. The Bible says that God is holy—a word meaning that God is separate from sin and in a category completely by Himself.

For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabit eternity, whose name is Holy, ‘I dwell in the high and holy place.’ Isaiah 57:15a

He shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with His truth. Psalm 96:13b

He is great and powerful God who hates when we break His perfect law. He is a just and fair God who must punish law-breakers (sinners). Of course, He has every right to punish sinners because He created everyone and everything that exists (Genesis 1).

But God is also a loving, merciful, and good God who does not take pleasure in punishing law-breakers.

    God is love. 1John 4:8b

For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth (faithfulness) endureth to all generations. Psalm 100:5

  • How do I glorify and please God? +

Even though it's impossible for human beings to be exactly like God in all His greatness, He still wants us to glorify Him—to show off how wonderful He is. Now you might be asking, " How do I show off God's greatness? How do I please Him?" Answer: You can truly glorify God by obeying His law and by having a godly attitude (John 15:8-10). here are some of the things that God expects from you:

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul and with all thy mind . . . [and] thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. Matthew 22:37-39

Thou shalt have no other gods before Me. Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain. Honor they father and thy mother. Thou shalt not commit adulter. Thou shalt not steal. Thou shalt not covet (crace) . . . anything that is thy neighbor's. Exodus 20:3-17

The first few Bible verses on this page (Matt. 22:37-39) tell us that God’s law for all people is love—living God with everything that is in us and loving other people as much as we love ourselves. If we are honest, we would have to say that it is impossible for us to keep God’s laws on our own.

  • Have I glorified Him? +

Everyone (including you) has failed to glorify God. No one can keep God’s commandments perfectly or worship Him like He wants. The Bible says:

For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. (Everyone has failed to live up to God's purchase for his/her life). Romans 3:23

As it is written, ‘There is none righteous, no not one.’ Romans 3:10

For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not. Ecclesiastes 7:20

But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness (good works) are as filthy rags. Isaiah 64:6b

And you hath He quickened who were dead in trespasses and sins. (and you still are dead if God hasn’t rescued you yet) Ephesians 2:1

Though you might think you are a good person, it only takes one sin to make you a law-breaker. Besides, the Bible also teacher that humans are born sinners (Psalms 51:5). Since God is so merciful, does that mean He will let us go free if we continue to break His law like we always have?

  • What do I deserve then? +

The Bible is very clear that people who break God’s law will suffer God’s anger and judgment. The Bible calls this punishment “death”—separation from God. Since humans were created for a relationship with God, the worst punishment that humans can face is living without God. When Adam and Eve sinned, they caused all humans after them to face physical and spiritual death—separation from the life he gives and who live their whole lives as people who are spiritually dead, will also face the like of fire forever—the second death. The Bible says:

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. Romans 5:12

For the wages of sin is death . . . Romans 6:23a

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Revelation 21:8

God judges sinners during their lives now and forever.

  • Is there any hope? +

Yes! Christ died on the cross to rescue you! He stood in your place and took the anger and punishment of God upon Himself so you can live. Since Christ perfectly kept the law, God accepted Christ’s sacrifice for you by raising Him from the dead! Though you could never by perfect enough to save yourself from God’s anger, Jesus Christ the Son of God could be, was, and is the perfect sacrifice that God requires for your sin.

But God commented (shows) his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. John 3:17

For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. Mark 10:45

Jesus our Lord . . . was delivered for our offense, and was raised again for our justification. Romans 4:24-25

Because of Jesus’ victory over sin and death through His own death and resurrection, we too can have victory over sin! We can live a new life free from the anger and judgment of God!

  • How must I respond? +

Just because Christ died for you doesn’t mean that you’re saved. You must turn away from your sin (repent), stop trusting yourself or something else to save you, and believe that Jesus Christ alone will save you. If you call out only to Him in complete repentance and faith making Him the master of your life, He will rescue you and give you eternal life! Cry out to God for help as you would cry out to another person. Beg for forgiveness for offending Him by you sin, and tell Him that you are hanging onto Him and nothing else for rescue from sin and death.

Jesus says: The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye (turn from your sin), and believe the gospel (good news of salvation). Mark 1:15

For by grace (help that you don’t deserve) are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

For whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh not the Father, but by me. John 14:6

  • What happened to me? +

If you have placed you life into God’s hands (by turning away from your selfishness and relying on Jesus Christ alone to rescue you from the anger of His Father), then you are rescued!!! Not only are you rescued (salvation), but you can enjoy true freedom from a life cursed by sin. Jesus Christ bought you out of slavery to sin and to Satan (redemption, suffered in your place from God’s righteous anger so that He’s not angry toward you any more (propitiation), and changed you from a spiritually dead person into someone who is truly alive (regeneration)!

These are three of the many spiritual gifts God gave you when you trusted in Him alone to be rescued. As you grow as a believer, you will learn about even more of these gifts!

In who we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of grace. Ephesians 1:7

And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. I John 2:2

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the the Holy Ghost. Titus 3:5

  • What changes about my life? +

Jesus Christ teaches that someone who has truly become His follower must be baptized as soon as he or she has a chance. This shows that you have seriously become a new person and that you want your church and others to see it too.

A huge part of living the Christian life is thinking about and praising God for how He saved you. This obsession with how the good news changed you will cause you to . . .
. . . grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and forever. 2 Peter 3:18

To “grow in grace” means to become more and more mature in your faith through the working of God in your life. It means that you will grow in obeying His loving commands. “Grace” means “spiritual energy that you don’t deserve.” It is God’s power working in you to follow Him more faithfully.

  • How exactly do I grow in grace? +

The Bible speaks of three main ways that a believer in Christ can grow in God’s grace: hearing Him speak through His Word (the Bible), speaking to Him through prayer, and being encouraged by other faithful Christians. The Bible says . . .

And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to there word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified. Acts 20:32

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16

Let no corrupt communication priced out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it (your speaking) may minister grace unto the hearers. Ephesians 4:29

Right after the apostle Peter encourages Christians to “grow in grace” he also encourages us to grow “in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18). Knowing Him is how we live up to His reason for giving us life (see pg. 2)—to glorify Him!

  • How important is going to church? +

We read in the Bible that God our Rescuer is glorified by believers meeting together to worship God and to encourage each other in a group called the “church.”

Unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. Ephesians 3:21

The church is God’s idea, and He commands Christians to be faithful in meeting together with other believers. Since Bible preaching, Bible study, prayer, and encouragement (ways to grow) all happen in truth and good churches, you can see why it is so valuable to be a part.

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting (encouraging) one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Hebrews 10:25

If God every makes it clear in your life that you need to move somewhere else, He desires you to find a new local church that is faithful to what the Bible says.
